History
Zari and her male companion lived in Arizona with their caring owner. Unfortunately, the owner passed away and a friend of his began looking for somewhere for the animals to go. The male wolf-dog was ill, so it was decided the best course of action for him would to be euthanized. Zari was brought to the Sanctuary to be a companion for Junior.
How Can I Help Zari?
It takes fifteen sponsors to provide the basic care for each of our wolves and wolf-dogs for an entire year. This does not include the cost of medication, vet visits, enclosures repairs, or enrichment treats.
Profile
Bio: Zari is a mid-content wolf-dog.
Living Arrangements: Zari lives with another mid-content wolf-dog, Junior.
Am I On the Tour Path? "No, I live at the back of the Sanctuary. However, if you are a sponsor of mine and would like to say hello, ask someone in the office if you can come up for a visit."
Personality: Zari is a very sweet girl who is mostly calm and very relaxed, unless there are gloves or food around! She sometimes has a sudden rush of energy and runs circles around her enclosure. Zari and Junior's relationship had a rocky start, but now the two are good buddies.
Likes: Receiving ear rubs, belly rubs, and having her face cupped between her caretaker's hands for cheek rubs.
Dislikes: Junior getting possessive over joint attention from their caretaker, Junior stealing her toys, and Junior trying to take her food.
Fun Fact: Zari has a very particular morning routine that she follows exactly. She runs to the gate to greet her caretaker, then follows a path around the trees in her enclosure, receives some attention, and then walks or runs the exact same path around her enclosure!
My Wishlist: "Junior is always taking up space in our wooden house. I would love to have my own space to sleep in and my own straw to throw around!"
