| Natasha came to us from a breeder in Washington in 1995. She is the aunt of the seven cubs that were born at our sanctuary: Zeus, Shakti, Taza, Lycea, Ghengis Khan, Selena, and Chaka Zulu. She even helped raised them while they were very young still living indoors. When the cubs grew old enough, she lived with Chaka Zulu when he was kicked out of the pack. |

Natasha was a shy girl who would rather stay as far away from humans as possible. She was unsocial towards people, and would sometimes get irritated when people were in her enclosure. However, with a very select few, she would become more open and come down from the back of her enclosure to investigate. She had even been seen coming down to the front of the fence with tours walking by! That may or may not be because of Lakota, her mate after Chaka Zulu died, whose curious personality might have rubbed off on Natasha. Natasha and Lakota were a cute pair, and the two of them were sometimes seen wrestling in the early morning hours. Natasha lived a long life at Wild Spirit, but her old age finally caught up to her. After showing behavioral signs that usually signal death, she passed away peacefully.
Natasha was a British Columbian Timber wolf. She passed away at age fourteen. |
