Amadeus

Amadeus was originally owned by drug dealers who wished for him to be a guard dog. However, Amadeus is very skittish around strangers, and so he failed the drug dealers' expectations. Having no more use for their animal, Amadeus was tied to a three foot chain on a concrete pad, where he remained for two years. Not only was he kept in isolation, he was also starved. When his owners were arrested for their drug dealing, Amadeus was brought to the Seal Beach Animal Care Center in California during the year 1997. The wonderful staff members at the center had to perform surgery to remove the chain that was embedded in his neck, and also to eradicate blood blisters that had formed on his buttock from constantly resting on the concrete slab. The winter of that year, volunteers at the Seal Beach Animal Care Center brought Amadeus to us to live out the rest of his life. He was at first very thin and nervous, but soon learned to trust humans again.
Amadeus has now warmed up to humans and can be very social and friendly when he wants to. He now lives with his two companions Shauntehey and Wapahnee, who were also brought from Seal Beach Animal Care Center. Amadeus is extremely playful, and his size makes him quite a challenge as a wrestling partner. Surprisingly, Amadeus demands to be the center of attention, and many times he will jump up on his box and roll over for you to give him a belly rub. Most of all, he loves to pick on his companion, Shauntehey.

Amadeus is a mid-content wolf dog, with perhaps Timber wolf and Alaskan Malamute in him.
