Amani

Amani was owned by a sweet man who lived in Tempe, Arizona. Unfortunately, his owner had to move to California and could find no way to take Amani with him. Amani was dropped off at our sanctuary, where he could be guaranteed a good life. Amani, when he first arrived, was quite shy, despite the fact he was well-loved and taken care of by his previous owner. Over time, Amani has warmed up to the staff and volunteers at the sanctuary.

Although Amani is extremely sweet with humans, he can be very dominant towards other animals. He even has been seen pushing around Selena, his mate who happens to be an alpha female. He also can be dominant towards his neighbors who surround him. However, he is usually found sleeping under a tree, enjoying his peaceful life. Amani has a very accurate memory, and he still remembers some commands from when he was a pup. That means he is obedient on walks and quite well-behaved. Amani is currently up for adoption, and would make a great addition to any family.

Amani is a low-content wolf dog; a probably Malamute-cross.
