Skye lived with an old lady in Oregon while she was still a puppy. The lady was kind and tried to take care of Skye properly, but good intentions are not always enough. Skye's environment was poor, living in filthy and unsanitary conditions. We took in Skye the year she was born, 2000, and has been with us ever since. |

Skye is a playful girl who is just enthusiastic about life! She loves to play, and will constantly try to initiate some type of game with her caretaker. She will jump all over you and nip at any limb. If you do not play back, Skye will then begin to steal any item that is not firmly attached to the body (hats, keys, hair, etc.). She loves her stolen items and will guard them viciously, so once something is gone, it is gone for good! Skye lived with the wolf Nayati until he passed away. We tried Skye with Zeus the wolf dog, but unfortunately, it did not work out. Without any eligible bachelors, we were afraid Skye would have to live by herself. Finally, a volunteer came up with the idea to place Skye in with some of our wolf cubs. We moved Skye into Sassy and Brutus' enclosure, and luckily, Skye has the strength to handle the two pups! They now get along very well, with Skye playing both mommy and big sister.
