Mountain Pack Babies

From wiggling little balls of fluff to running, growling wolves, the Mountain Pack Babies have led a life none of Sierra's other kids have been able to lead - a life with parents. Not too much was known about them in their first weeks, due to wanting Momma to have privacy with her new children. But as they grew older, they began to wander around the den site, and now, explore the entire enclosure with confidence. Life is getting a bit more challenging; Mom and Dad use to hand over every piece of chicken they received, but now, the kids have to do a bit more whining to guilt their parents' chicken away from them. Luckily, thanks to volunteers hanging out in the enclosure and the kids watching Papa receive treats from his caretaker, the Mountain Pack Babies are quickly warming up to humans. In fact, they are starting to take food from their caretaker too!

Teton, Shasta, and Trinity are Arctic wolves.

Teton, the boy in the group, and the largest, is by far the bravest of the three. He was the first one spotted out of the den, and the first pup to take food from his caretaker. When his caretaker walks around the enclosure, Teton watches intently, and approaches the caretaker to get a better look/sniff. Looks like this brave man is going to grow up to be a lot like Dad! Teton did have a medical crisis when he was younger in which a fungus attacked his nervous system and he developed a severe limp in his front legs. Luckily, his medications have helped him greatly and his limp is almost all gone.

Shasta is one of the two girls living with Mom and Dad. She is smaller than her brother, but larger than her sister. She seems to have picked up qualities from both parents. She is braver like her Dad (but not as brave as Teton) but is more cautious like her Mom (but not as shy as Trinity). She usually stays a couple of steps behind her big brother, but will come to investigate things with him. Right after Teton took food from his caretaker, Shasta came up and mimicked the behavior. Shasta has grown braver with age. She now likes to play through the fence with her caretaker and follow her around the enclosure.

Trinity is the last girl in the enclosure, and is the smallest and shyest of the three. While her other two siblings wander around the enclosure, she'll stay near the back or cuddle up next to Mom. Every now and then, she'll tag along and explore the enclosure, but is the first one to dart for cover if things get a bit too "risky". Teton and Trinity would come up to grab food from the caretaker, but Trinity would wait until Momma got a piece and then follow her to the top to ask for it. Trinity did have a little accident when she was younger when one of her rambunctious neighbors, despite the triple layer of protective fence, bit off her ear. She recovered after some TLC from the volunteers, and has had no additional problems with it.
