| Nikki was originally adopted by a woman when he was a few months old. He was loved and well-cared for, but his owner needed to move unexpectedly. The young wolf dog spent time in the backyard of another family. Nikki's original owner was unable to find a new place where she could properly care for him, and so she called Wild Spirit. We were looking for a boyfriend for Maki, Kamia, or Princess, and so Nikki's owner, her son and daughters brough him out from El Paso when he was three years-old. |

Nikki is a hugely playful man who can turn anything into a toy. Anything a caretaker brings in - buckets, shovel, hoe, sweater, hat - will soon be taken and demolished. Anyone who enters Nikki's enclosure is almost guaranteed to come out bleeding because Nikki likes to play tag with his teeth. He seems to prefer men over women, but will eventually warm up to a female if she pays him enough attention. Nikki tends to be food aggressive, and it is advised never to enter his enclosure while he is eating. Nikki lives with the female Maki, and while they had a bit of a rocky start, they are starting to respect each other's boundaries once Maki declared herself the boss! On rare ocassions, the two of them can be seen playing with one another; they were once found playing tug-of-war with a piece of meat!
Nikki is a very high-content wolf dog; mostly Black-phased Timber wolf. |
