Sasbarilla

When Mary and Sean, two volunteers at the Sanctuary, went to pick up the Fweasles, Mary immediately began calling one of the girls Sassy, short for Sasbarilla. As the name seemed appropriate, it has stuck with her. Sassy is extremely affectionate, and at times, perhaps too affectionate! She loves jumping up on people, and is usually the most demanding of attention when a human first enters the puppy enclosure. She also loves giving people long, rough, teeth-involved tongue-baths that can be painful, however, no one can resist the affection she longs to give and receive. When Sassy does finally calm down after a greeting, she will usually cuddle up beside a person for some scratches and belly rubs, but will also contentedly cuddle up without attention as long as she can be near her human friend.

Sasbarilla and Sierra, our doggy-sitter, often got into arguments early on in Sierra's puppy visit times. Sassy would squeal and whine so loud that visitors and even some volunteers were worried that Sierra was hurting her. It was quickly found out, however, that most times, Sierra was not even touching Sassy, and if Sierra was pulled off of her, Sassy would come running back to play again! Seemingly, Sassy just likes to play rough and get some extra attention with her whining.

Sasbarilla is a pure Timber wolf.
