Help our wolves by imbedding yourself in the heart of Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary!

Wild Spirit started its long journey in 1991 when founder Jacque Evans purchased her first 12 acre plot of land in the heart of Candy Kitchen, New Mexico. Living in the 90-year-old, cold log cabin and selling her fabulous artwork to help make ends meet. Over time and many struggles she built the beautiful log Hogan and art studio that now houses our gift shop and office.

Now over a decade and hundreds of rescues later, Wild Spirit has grown to around 70 acres that houses 65 wolves and wolf-dogs.

Jacque retired as director in 1999 and in 2005, due to health problems, needed to move to her daughter Tina's home in Spokane, Washington.

We are certain that if Jacque could, she would donate the twelve acres where the heart of the Sanctuary lies, but having no income and cramped quarters at her daughter's home does not permit such a generous donation.

Today, Jacque and her daughter's family must find a new home...and fast! Jacque has called us and is desperate to sell her 12 acres fast so they can move.

We MUST purchase that land or suffer the consequences of having to move!

The selling price of the twelve acres with the buildings, well and animal enclosures is $60,000.00!

Thanks to all of the support of our members and people who wish to help us out, we were able to make the down payment of $20,000.00!

We were then able to raise another $10,000.00, brining us to our half-way point!

We still need another $30,000.00!

Our contract with Jacque gives us until December 2008 to pay the balance of $30,000.00
