Volunteer

We are currently full for Spring and Summer of 2008. We will take applications for Fall and Winter.

Without the dedication and ambition of our volunteer staff, WSWS could not survive. It is the generosity of individuals and groups willing to offer their time to make a difference that allows us to continue to provide impeccable care to our residents and continue our educational pursuits.

There are two basic types of volunteer opportunities at Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary.

Long-Term
Long-term volunteers are those individuals who commit to spending no less than 60 days volunteering at Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary. These volunteers live on the property, are provided with housing, food-allotments, and after 30 days, may receive a small stripend if funding permits. These volunteers are typically those who care for animals, participate in animal enrichment and walking programs, and become thoroughly involved in the general workings of the Sanctuary. Short-Term

Short-term volunteering encompasses all other areas of volunteering for WSWS. Some short-term volunteers are those groups such as boy scouts, girl scouts, 4H clubs, hobby clubs, school groups, etc. who camp out for a weekend or spend a day doing a service project at Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary. Short-term volunteers are also those individuals who choose to come out for a day, a week, or any period less than 60 days and help out at the Sanctuary. Short-term volunteers may also be individuals who come out on a regular basis, but do not live on the property. Last, but by far not least, Short-term volunteers can be people who assist at outreach events or on-site events primarily. Short-term volunteers do exceptional work for the Sanctuary, however, are not trained in animal care as this requires a long-term commitment.
