Wild Spirit's training program is not simply preparation for animal care. It is an educational experience all of its own. During the ten day training program, a volunteer is introduced to all aspects of sanctuary work and life. We divide work at the sanctuary into four sections: Animal Care, Maintenance, Administration and Outreach. Feeling that all four areas are equally as important to the maintaining of our sanctuary and health and happiness of our animals, new volunteers are introduced to each. After the training period, it is determined where volunteers would be happiest and of most use.
